The referendum for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament was a once-in-a-generation opportunity to measure the performance of polling outside of a general election. Pyxis Polling was not only the 'closest to the pin' in terms of the final national result - it was the only Australian poll to correctly identify that the referendum would fall short in six states, modelling a turnout at 89% compared to a final turnout at 89.9.
